~ New 7th/8th Grade Orientaton ~
An orientation session for new 7th grade and 8th students and their parents will be held at the new Easton Area Middle School Campus on Friday, August 22nd.
Sessions will be held in the auditorium and will begin promptly at 9:00 am; however, for the convenience of the parents, the school will remain open to visitors until 1:30 pm. During this time, students and parents will meet the administrative staff and familiarize themselves with the building. Guidance counselors and grade level principals will be available after the 9:00 orientation session to answer any questions. Tentative student schedules, including homeroom assignments, will be mailed prior to the orientation session.
The opening day of school is scheduled for Monday, August 25th. Students are expected to be in their respective homerooms by 8:00 a.m. and will be dismissed at 2:50 p.m. Student locker information, final schedules, student handbooks, and other pertinent documents will be provided in homeroom during the first day of school. ***Attention All Parents***
CHIP * Pennsylvania's Children's Health Insurance Program covers all kids. Do not assume that you make too much to qualify. Go to www.chipcoverspakids.com for more information! Also, yellow flyers will be handed out to the students on the first day of school.
CHANGE OF ADDRESS:
To all Parents and Guardians: In the event there is a change of address, verification of the address change must be provided to the school. Proof may be established by providing two (2) forms of documentation such as a current driver's license, tax bill or utility bill verifying place of residence. Should the student require a change in busing, this change will not be implemented until proof of residency has been established.
